Truth in Ashes, by Raymond Liang

Cry not, for our souls are eternal
No matter how they burn
In ash and inferno
We wait to rise,
Like the Phoenix

Love stings, charring away our sins
Flames of our past
Smolder as they begin
We dream to rise,
Like the Phoenix

Fear not, for fear is the enemy
We cower in our haven
Searching for a remedy
We yearn to rise,
Like the Phoenix

Tomorrow's lost, before it's here
Racing pass
Like a chestnut mare
We prepare to rise,
Like the Phoenix

The world is small, when our hearts are big
We try the shovel
But it's hard to dig
When we rise,
We become the Phoenix
