Continuing my penguin series, I present Professor Penguin. I'm not really sure what kind of super powers he has, but I'm sure whatever it is it's awesome.
I wanted to do something simple today. This was an exercise in making a piece of work with one unifying technique. I used to employ a scriffito technique on copper board covered in black paint so I tried it in a very minimalistic way here. Not sure I like how it turned out, especially with the impromptu subject matter.
I used a whimsical cartoonly style for this painting. It worked out really well, even though it has a bit of that over-worked looked to it, I'm quite satisfied. These penguin portraits have gotten me back in my groove. Soon I'll have to start on something more challenging.
I haven't kept up this blog very well, after my old computer died I just didn't have the heart to do it. It will continue to serve as an art dump for now until I can do something better.
These days I'm just an unemployed artist looking for something that will inspire me. I consider myself a very simple man with simple desires. I don't really need much, but one of the things that I do need is an outlet to channel my art. I suppose this is will have to do for now.
If anyone is interested in talking to me I welcome you to write me an e-mail.
